Weight Loss, Loose Skin, And Reality: Julia Kozerski Drops From 338 To 178 Pounds And Shows Honest, NSFW Photos

There’s a set of photos from photographer Julia Kozerski that’s currently going viral. Warning, the artistic photos from Julia, who dropped from 338 pounds down to 178 pounds, feature a nude NSFW photo that shows the real deal about weight loss for some folks. As reported by Good Housekeeping, Kozerski’s weight loss photos aren’t your typical before and after weight loss photos that are often shared on social media. Instead of a sad, overweight person appearing in the before photos and a happy, smiling skinny person in workout gear appearing in the after photos, Julia’s photos show tears streaming down her cheeks.

On her Facebook page, Kozerski, an artist and photographer based out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has tons of photos of herself at various stages of weight. Julia describes her total weight loss of more than 160 pounds, and how it relates to her artistic field of photography.

“I’m Julia Kozerski, an artist and photographer who has lost over 160 pounds. I use myself as my own muse, exploring themes related to my transformation, through self-portraiture. To view my creative works please visit my website: www.juliakozerski.com”

Not only does Julia examine the aftermath of such things like stretch marks and loose skin that can come along with a large amount of weight lost, Kozerski speaks to the emotional impact of weight loss via her photography and website. That same website comes with a warning for visitors on what to expect therein.

“This website contains artistic nude works which may not be suitable for young viewers and/or may conflict with an individual’s racial, social, political, and/or religious beliefs. Therefore, we are advising you that entering this website and viewing the work on display is at your own discretion.”

Meanwhile, folks are having a largely positive reaction to Julia’s openness and honesty in her weight loss journey. Kozerski is receiving plenty of supportive comments for the photographer.

“She is beautiful, it is society that has made us feel ugly. We shouldn’t allow it!! I never once thought looking at those pictures that they were gross or disgusting. We are so hard on ourselves. It’s sad….learn to love every inch of your body and soul. It’s so important because the surgery can’t heal a wounded mind and heart…”

By Julia literally exposing herself to the world in such an open manner, she is having a great impact upon others. It’s a big step for a woman who wouldn’t even show her husband the photos initially.
