Cara Delevingne Feud: Richard Madden Apologizes For Calling Out Victoria’s Secret Model, Says He Was Misquoted
Cara Delevingne is heating up her feud with actor Richard Madden, calling him “desperate for attention” after he put the Victoria’s Secret model on blast this week.
Madden kicked off the bad blood in an interview with Style magazine in which he called out Cara for her short and annoyed interview with Good Day Sacramento earlier this summer. Richard felt it was rude of her to blow off the interview circuit, which is an important part of an actor’s job.
“It was unprofessional,” said Madden (via Yahoo! Lifestyle). “It made her seem ungrateful. She showed her age. For ‘Cinderella’, I did six weeks of those interviews, where you get asked the same eight questions.”
Cara Delevingne didn’t take the criticism lightly. She fired back on Twitter, calling Madden desperate.
“I have no idea who you are but I think it’s little desperate for a grown man to be bad mouthing someone they don’t know.”

“@_richardmadden if you really want attention that badly,” she continued, “try focusing on your own work and not other people’s.”
Richard Madden seems to be dredging up some old issues. Cara Delevingne was already put through the wringer for her seemingly rude appearance, with the hosts of The View calling her out at the time.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” Nicolle Wallace said in July (via E! Online). “When you’re a famous movie star and you get to go on a local news show to promote a movie that people are paying $18 to go watch, you don’t get to act like a b***h.”
“I’m sorry. I’m sorry. You know, she’s not a famous actress. She’s a newbie,” Whoopi Goldberg added. “She’s not famous—no, honey, I’m famous.”
Cara didn’t seem to care too much, and even defended her demeanor, saying it made her more “human.”
“I am soooooo lucky and anyone who thinks I am unappreciative or ungrateful clearly doesn’t know me,” she tweeted. “I work really really hard and love what I do, I don’t feel like I need to apologize for being human #sorrynotsorry.”
The latest flap could be over soon. Richard Madden tried to downplay his comments, tweeting on Wednesday morning:
