Football Player Hits Another High School Football Player With His Own Helmet [Video]


The video clips of football players acting badly has another YouTube clip going viral. Previously, it was a St. Anthony football player who shoved a ref that made the news. Now, it’s an unnamed Linden High School player who took the helmet off of an Immaculata football player and hit the player with his own helmet. In the video, the Linden player can be seen striking the Immaculata player with his football helmet, and the Immaculata player stands up with his hands up, as if to say he’s not retaliating for the heinous attack. Incredibly, the Linden football player was allowed to remain in the football game.

The Linden football player who removed the helmet from the Immaculata player was flagged, but he wasn’t ejected from the game, which caused controversy.

On YouTube, the video, titled “Linden player hits Immaculata player with helmet” is getting plenty of views, thumbs down, and comments from folks who can’t believe such an attack was allowed, and the football player not kicked out of the football game immediately. Mai Day Productions is the name of the YouTube channel that uploaded the video, which was shown on the Today show on Wednesday, September 16.

The article titled “Linden football player rips helmet from opponent and bashes his head with it (VIDEO)” is also receiving tons of attention on NJ.com? — which is rife with heated comments about the incident. Both schools are reportedly addressing the helmet-striking incident.

“Without getting too involved the only thing to do is suspend #1 from the game of football. Thats all.”

Due to the different races of the football players, plenty of the comments are calling the football player who attacked the other football player a “thug,” and much worse. Some are commenting that the football player who hit the other with his own helmet should be arrested and prosecuted for assault. Others say the attacking football player should be kicked off the football team. Others think that the helmet-hitter should simply miss several football games as punishment.

The NJ.com article about the helmet-hitting incident has been shared on Facebook more than 6,100 times. Obviously, the helmet-hitting football melee is causing plenty of strong reactions and emotions from some people who view the incident via the YouTube video.
