Kim Richards Sentenced To AA, Community Labor, & Probation: ‘Real Housewives’ Show Future & Alleged Xanax Hunt

Kim Richards, once a child star before becoming famous again on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, entered a plea of no contest to resisting arrest. That charge resulted from Kim’s forced exit from the Beverly Hills Hotel. Richards also had been charged with public intoxication and battery on a peace officer, but those charges were dismissed, reported MSN.

Kim did not appear at the hearing. Instead, Richards’ attorney entered her plea, to which Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Jane Godfrey issued the sentence of 30 days of community labor, 52 weeks of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), and three years of probation.

And although Kim does not have to spend any more time in prison as a result of that incidence, Richards also has to stay a minimum of 100 yards away from the Beverly Hills Hotel, reported Entertainment Weekly.

In addition to those charges, however, Kim was charged with shoplifting in August. Richards’ outcome from that arrest will be determined at an October court hearing.

Since she was arrested after the Beverly Hills Hotel incidence, Kim has spent time in rehab. Both she and Kyle Richards, her sister, are among the first group of women who starred on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. However, throughout all five seasons, Kim’s battle with alcohol has been revealed.

At the hearing that focused on Richards’ charges following her removal from the Beverly Hills Hotel, Kim’s lawyer, Sara Caplan, entered the plea because the former actress was not present, according to Access Hollywood.

Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Jane Godfrey has a hearing planned for mid-December, at which she wants an update on how Richards is doing with the sentence. With regard to avoiding the Beverly Hills Hotel, the sentence specifies that Kim must steer clear during her probation period.

As for the shoplifting charges, Richards allegedly stole $600 worth of products from a San Fernando Valley Target store. Kim has entered a not guilty plea in response.

As the Inquisitr reported, Richards recently returned to Twitter. In response to a fan’s question, Kim said that she was sober, and she thanked her fans for their support.

But although they can follow her on social media, it’s not likely that Richards’ fans will be able to watch her regularly on the next season of the Real Housewives, reported E! News.

However, insiders said that Kim might make some appearances or cameos but will not be on the show full-time. When she was on the reality TV show, her battles with Kyle as well as others on the cast led to some of the biggest RHOBH dramas.

As for Richards’ future, Kim allegedly tried to get Xanax, a prescription drug, at a smoke shop in southern California recently, according to TMZ.

Although the store does not sell those drugs, Richards allegedly said that she had been told she could get the medication at the shop. Kim reportedly sought Xanax there on three occasions, claiming it was for an injured foot. However, the medication is used to treat anxiety.
