Amy Schumer: Why She Is Becoming Everybody’s Favorite Celebrity

Amy Schumer is everywhere right now. Since launching her sketch show Inside Amy Schumer, which began airing on Comedy Central in 2013, she has been gaining momentum each day. She also has a blockbuster movie — Trainwreck — which is out at the moment. She has also appeared on almost every high profile talk show worth mentioning over the past couple of months.

As Us Magazine reported, Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence are writing a movie together in which they play sisters, and they are almost done writing. Jennifer Lawrence talked to Us Magazine about what it was like working with Amy Schumer.

“It just flowed out of us. We’ve got about 100 pages right now. Amy and I were creatively made for each other. We have different flavors. It’s been the most fun experience of my life. We start the day off on the phone, laughing. And then we send each other pages. And we crack up. I’m flying out tomorrow to see her in Chicago.”

So, why do we love her?

She Knows the True Definition of Squad Goals

Amy and her younger sister kicked off their Labor Day celebrations by spending some quality time with their father, Gordon Schumer, and as you could imagine, the day was filled with laughter.

The two visited their father at the assisted care facility he resides in due to his diagnosis of multiple sclerosis.

Amy posted a photo on Twitter of the three together, with their father smiling in the middle as he wraps his arms around his daughters.

“Did someone say Squad Goals?”

Schumer Is Funny… Like, Very Funny

She even made Ellen DeGeneres cry with laughter.

Amy Schumer spoke about why she would not consider moving to Los Angeles on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

“I mean, I don’t fit in here. Just straight up body type. Like in L.A, my arms register as legs and it’s like, ‘Why is that octopus out on Sunset?’ It’s not for me out here in L.A. It’s not, I cry. I just sit in my room.”

She Will Make You Feel Better About Your Life

Are you fed up of feeling as though your friends are leaving you behind with their pensions, babies, and engagement rings? As the Independent reported, Amy Schumer has your back.

“The girls I grew up with, they are now living normal lives. So they call me now and they’re like, ‘Amy, I am pregnant.’ And I still react like, ‘What are you going to do? I will drive you, I guess.’

All my friends are now getting married. I guess I’m at that age where people give up.”

She Even Managed To Embarrass David Letterman

When David Letterman prompted her to do something that she would regret later on the show, Amy didn’t need to be asked twice.

Hilarious, self-deprecating, and controversial, Amy Schumer has been recognized as one of the funniest comedians of our time.
