Louis Tomlinson: Tough Times Ahead For One Direction Star

One Direction star Louis Tomlinson spoke out over the weekend to provide some reassurance for the band’s fans. Unreality TV report that Tomlinson used One Direction’s final U.S. show at the Gillette Stadium in Boston to say that the band’s forthcoming break does not mark the end of One Direction. Tomlinson and band-mates Harry Styles, Niall Horan, and Liam Payne are splitting, at least temporarily in March 2016 to focus on solo projects. Louis and the others have faced five-years of relentless pressure, constant touring, and media scrutiny. Whilst Tomlinson and his band-mates have made their fortune, they have paid a heavy price for their fame.

In recent months, Louis has been in the spotlight more than he would have wished. Back in July, The Mirror reported that Tomlinson had split with long-time girlfriend Eleanor Calder as the news broke that Louis was having a baby with Briana Jungwirth. The UK tabloid speculated that the baby could cost Louis $10 million.

It was widely reported in late July, including here in Inquisitr, that Louis was having difficulties with his natural father Troy Austin. It was claimed that Austin was “blackmailing” Tomlinson by threatening to reveal family secrets that would “blow his family apart.” Louis and his natural father have not spoken for at least three years after a family row caused a seemingly irreconcilable rift. Last week the Daily Mail reported that Louis’ father had attempted suicide, had been arrested for drunk driving, and was now homeless.

Tomlinson is on record as saying that he is delighted by his impending fatherhood. Band-mate Liam Payne caused a storm last week when he lashed out at persistent rumors that Briana’s baby may not be Louis’. Tomlinson is believed to have set up his own record label and has been very strongly linked with a return to Simon Cowell’s X-Factor. The show that gave rise to One Direction is currently suffering poor ratings. The Daily Mail claims that Cowell is keen to get Louis on board in an attempt to save the show.

Tomlinson has a lot going on in both his private life and in his public life. When March comes around and One Direction part ways, Louis will not have the day-to-day support that he has been used to for the past five years. With a band split, impending fatherhood, difficulties with his natural father, and starting a new business, Tomlinson faces a series of incredibly stressful life events. All of the issues that Louis faces sit towards the top of life’s most stressful situations and it should be borne in mind that Tomlinson is just 23 years old.

With all this on his young shoulders, there are tough times ahead for Louis Tomlinson.
