Chuck gets a third season, with changes

The wait is over for Chuck fans with NBC finally giving the show another season.

It’s not all good news however. Due to poor ratings in the second season, NBC has only ordered 13 episodes, and has cut the shows budget. Reports are sketchy, but it’s believed that one regular cast member will be dropped from the show, and some supporting cast members will have reduced screen time.

Rumors of Chuck’s demise saw fans lobby the network, and set up online groups. Fan led resurrections though don’t always have a happy ending: a similar, more prominent campaign for the CBS series Jericho didn’t save the show in the long term after it to was renewed for a shorter, second season.
