Louis Tomlinson: ‘We Promise To Come Back After The Break’

Although it’s confirmed One Direction will be taking a break soon, Louis Tomlinson assures fans that it’s not indefinitely. Fans can relax, as the band plans on returning after a much needed break.

Hollywood Life reports 23-year-old Tomlinson gave his word that fans haven’t seen the last of the band. Although the boys recently wrapped up their last concert of the North American leg of the On the Road Again (OTRA) tour, they plan to reunite after a hiatus, although the exact time of their hiatus is not yet known.

One Direction’s last concert North American concert, which took place in Boston on September 12, was met with a bittersweet vibe. Although it was their last concert in the U.S. before their break, it was also one day before Niall Horan’s birthday. The only Irish member of the band turned 23 on September 13, but his band mates made sure to sing “Happy Birthday” to him during the concert, followed by a group hug that made fans scream in appreciation.

Although the band’s break will probably last at least 12 months or more, they still have another album, their 5th studio album, that’s due for release in November. This doesn’t take the place of live concerts according to some “Directioners,” but at least the boys are leaving new music to the fans while they embark on their own projects.

While nothing is set in stone yet, there’s speculation that Tomlinson may try his hand at a reality music show, Be in a Band, while preparing for fatherhood. Harry Styles, 21, may embark on a solo album and try some acting, as well. Horan and Liam Payne, 22, may also release solo projects of their own.

Meanwhile, as Tomlinson prepares to become a dad for the first time, the unexpected news that he is expecting a baby with friend Briana Jungwirth, 23, has been met with mostly encouragement. Yet, it seems some of the fans are not too happy about it. In fact, some people are claiming that all this talk of a new baby is completely fabricated in order to hide Tomlinson’s secret relationship with Styles, known as “Larry Stylinson” to fans who think the two boys are hiding their feelings for each other from the public.

Payne, however, states he is tired of hearing these rumors and is livid that the speculation of a romance between Styles and Tomlinson is still ongoing.

“When the law changed in the U.S. there were loads of rainbow flags flying at our shows, but I think that was mainly because people think of the Louis and Harry thing [that they’re secret lovers], which is absolutely nuts and drives me insane. It’s like when you know the ins and outs of what’s going on with people it’s just annoying when it’s so stupid.”

Payne also touched on the rumors of Tomlinson’s upcoming baby being fake. He recently told Attitude magazine that it really gets to him that so many people are determined to keep the rumor going.

“He’s very happy about becoming a dad. But the funny thing is, there are some people out there who think that Louis getting Briana pregnant is fake. That it’s not real; it’s a cover up. And that’s the sort of sh** that gets to me. But you have to hold your tongue and that’s fine. I mean, it’s not really any of my business anyway.”

Although the North American leg of their tour is done, One Direction still has numerous concerts left on their European leg of the tour. The boys return to London’s O2 arena on September 24 for six concerts, followed by numerous other concerts throughout Europe.
