‘Bachelorette’ Stars Kaitlyn And Shawn Talk Wedding Date, May Tie The Knot On TV

It’s been more than six weeks since Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe gave her final rose to Shawn Booth. Since the season finale, the couple have been sharing videos and pictures of their new life as an engaged couples on social media with their fans who are anxious to find out when the couple will get married.

Will Kaitlyn and Shawn get married soon and will their wedding be televised on ABC?

Shortly after the Bachelorette season finale aired in late July, Kaitlyn told People that they wanted to enjoy life as an engaged couple and were in “no rush” to get married. They may be changing their tune now that they’ve spent time traveling, partying, and doing things together as a couple.

During an interview on CTV Morning Live, Shawn said that they are considering a televised wedding, but may end up having two ceremonies — one on ABC for their fans and a private ceremony for friends “without cameras.”

“We haven’t ruled out a televised wedding yet but what we definitely want to do is something small and closer with our friends, without cameras. So maybe do two separate weddings. We’re not sure. Still stuff we got to kind of figure out.”

Still, it looks like they are in no rush to have a wedding and are focusing on travel, appearances at various events in Canada and the U.S., and paid product promotions on social media.

For the past six weeks, Kaitlyn and Shawn have traveled from New York City to Shawn’s hometown in Connecticut and then on to Kaitlyn’s home in Vancouver, where they spent time with Kaitlyn’s mother, step father, and sister.

This week Kaitlyn and Shawn joined Bachelor Nation stars Andi Dorfman and Catherine Lowe at New York’s Fashion Week. Although gossip blogger Reality Steve predicts that the couple won’t last past six months, their Snapchat pics and Periscope broadcasts indicate things are going really well — it certainly looks like they are really enjoying life as an engaged couple.

Although Kaitlyn and Shawn seem to be going strong, it’s not certain if ABC will host their wedding on national TV. The last time the Bachelor franchise televised a wedding was in when Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici got married. According to WetPaint, ABC spent over $250,000 to make the Lowe’s wedding happen on live television.

There is speculation that ABC decided against casting Kaitlyn on Dancing with the Stars because her season of the Bachelorette was controversial, although E! reports that the “timing” wasn’t right for the former dance instructor. Will they be willing to take a chance that Kaitlyn and Shawn’s wedding would bring in good ratings or will Kaitlyn and Shawn be passed over for a very lucrative opportunity to get married on TV?

With the premiere of The Bachelor 2016 scheduled for January 4, 2016, fans who want to see Kaitlyn and Shawn’s wedding on ABC may have to wait awhile. If the network does decide to green light the nuptials, it’s not likely to happen until well after Bachelor Ben Higgins hands out his final rose.

Would you like to watch Kaitlyn marry Shawn on television or do you think they will break up before ABC considers making an offer?
