One Direction Says Goodbye To U.S. Fans Ask, ‘Will They Ever Return?’

One Direction wrapped up the North American leg of their “On The Road Again” world tour in Boston last night. After 24 dates across the U.S. and Canada, One Direction stars Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne are headed back to the UK for the final leg of a long tour. By Halloween, One Direction will have played over 80 shows across the world and will have been on the road for nine-months. By any measure, it has been an incredible tour.

As One Direction took to the road back in February, who would have thought that by the end of the tour they would have lost a member, been involved in numerous controversies and announced that they are to split, at least temporarily?

Last night, One Direction star Harry Styles took to Twitter to thank fans for “spending time” with them on what has been an amazing tour.

As reported in Inquisitr Harry has been hit by objects thrown from the crowd on at least three occasions during this tour but was gracious in his gratitude to One Direction’s numerous U.S. fans. Harry thanked fans in Boston saying that last night’s show was the “perfect way” for One Direction to finish their U.S. tour.

As reported by Unreality TV, One Direction fans will be wondering if they will ever see the band perform in the U.S. again. Last night, Liam Payne posted a video of himself lip syncing the Chicago hit, “If You Leave Me Now,” and captioned it “sad sad sad see you soon America and Canada too you will both be missed a lot thank you for years of amazing crowds and celebrations.”

As reported by the Daily Mail Payne has been in the firing line from some One Direction fans this week. Liam opened up in an interview with Attitude criticizing One Direction fans who spread rumors that Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson are gay lovers. His comments were not well received by some One Direction fans.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Payne has reassured fans that One Direction will play together again after their break, but Simon Cowell has recently been reported as saying there were no guarantees it would happen. One Direction fans doubtlessly hope they have not seen the end of the boy band.
