‘Castle’ Season 8 Spoilers: New Teasers For The ‘Game-Changing’ Premiere
Castle Season 8 is less than two weeks from its return to ABC, and fans are anxiously waiting to find out what will happen next to Castle and Beckett. Season 8 is promising to stir things up for the married couple. Beckett’s promotion at work will have an impact on the couple’s relationship, but ABC teased even more about the game-changing two-part premiere recently.
Spoiler TV shared the latest from ABC on the Castle Season 8 premiere, titled “XY,” and a phone call will set off a chain of events that will cause problems for Beckett. ABC teased, “Castle and Beckett are adjusting to Beckett’s career change, when a call from a mysterious stranger sets off an explosive chain of events. There are two sides to every story, and this unique two-parter will explore the same story from each of their perspectives, first from Castle’s side as he searches for Beckett.”
Beckett will not be missing for long, but she will land herself in some danger. Castle Season 8 Episode 2, titled “XX,” will tell the story from Beckett’s side. Spoiler TV shared a short synopsis for that episode on Saturday.
“Beckett receives a mysterious tip and is launched into a fight for her life with mercenaries on her tail; Castle tries to determine why his wife is on the run.”
Alexi Hawley and Terence Paul Winter promised fans they would shake things up for Castle Season 8. Fans will see new faces join the cast, and some current characters will go through big changes this season.
The biggest change is for Castle’s daughter. She is growing up in a big way this season. A previous Inquisitr report teased that Alexis would be having a “little sex in the city” this season. She also changed her appearance.
ABC teased more father-daughter togetherness with a new promo photo on Twitter earlier this week. The official Castle ABC Twitter shared two new promo photos this week, and the one involving Castle and Alexis teased her joining him in the “family business.”

Castle Season 8 is about big change. With the departure of Penny Johnson Jerald shocking fans after the end of Season 7, some fans wondered if they might see Victoria Gates again on the series. TV Line shared a blind teaser during their Fall, 2015, preview that might answer that very question.
“If you were hoping to see [SPOILER] resurface one day, we’ve got bad news — that character won’t ever be returning, for reasons made clear in the season opener.”
Of course, the blind teaser could relate to another departed character, as well. Fans will have to watch the Castle Season 8 premiere to find out.
Castle will return to ABC on September 21.
