Stern Pinball Releases Its ‘Game Of Thrones’ Pinball Machine

As the Inquisitr reported last week, Game of Thrones is about to add a whole new level to their concept of “game,” with Stern introducing a pinball machine based on the hit TV show. Now, we have more details on the latest “must have” Game of Thrones merchandise.

Stern released the following details on what their latest pinball machine has to offer.

“Stern’s Game of Thrones Pro, Premium, and Limited Edition machines are packed with features and toys that provide an irresistible challenge to play against kings, knights, knaves and dragons. Each player can choose to be a Knight of the Stark, Lannister, Greyjoy, Baratheon, Martell, or Tyrell family Houses, and pick other Houses to battle. Game of Thrones actor Rory McCann as Sandor Clegane (The Hound) guides the player throughout the game with authenticity and strong presence. The goal of the game is to rule the seven kingdoms of Westeros.”

The Wall Street Journal, who broke the news exclusively of the Game of Thrones pinball machine, said the machines, while not coming with “balls of Valyrian steel or flippers of dragonglass,” would have the following features.

• An interactive, fire-breathing dragon and all-LED lit playfields.
• Game of Thrones details such as a battering ram and castle doors, and a mechanical “sword of multiball” that holds back reinforcements until attack.
• Three drop targets that light up the “Lord of Light” lanes to protect against side drains.
• A kickback that fires the ball in anger when struck.
• A “Reel Pops” software mechanism that offers players prizes by playing pop bumpers and spinning three virtual reels.
• An action button on the front molding with numerous interactive play features.

The Game of Thrones pinball machines will also use the Reel Pops™ software, which allows players to win valuable awards. The player can also earn gold, which can be redeemed for weapons or other needed features of the game. But, for those who just want to play their pinball fast, PopSugar announced the Pro version is modified so gamers can just concentrate on the classic pinball experience.

Stern will start shipping the Game of Thrones pinball machines from September 15, 2015. However, with the starting price tag of $5,995 for the machine, this latest piece of merchandise is only for the die hard Game of Thrones fans. Although, there will be a digital version of it expected soon.

Game of Thrones returns to HBO with Season 6 in 2016.
