Demi Lovato arrived on the iHeart Music Festival red carpet on Friday looking rather “Confident”. From the edgy studded grey/black mini she wore on the carpet to the Beyonce-inspired bodysuit and feathery bolero she wore onstage, Lovato’s look was very confident. Lovato was one of many artists who performed at the iMF Friday night. As you can see from the pictures and video below, her look was stunning and her performance was show-stopping.

Lovato’s new edgy look goes along with her new music. Demi just released a new single, ‘Confident’ from her upcoming album of the same name due out on October 16 of this year. “Confident” is Lovato’s follow-up single after her summer hit, “Cool For the Summer.” Other tracks on the album include “Wildfire,” “Old Ways,” and two tracks featuring Iggy Azalea, “Kingdom Come,” and Sirah, “Waitin For You.” “Confident” has climbed to the No. 10 spot on iTunes.

Lovato recently spoke out about her sexuality and body image, and from her appearance at the iMF, she has definitely embraced her body. Lovato’s confidence should inspire other women to love their bodies as well. Confidence is a strength that all women should embrace regardless of their body size. Kudos to Lovato for joining the women who have embodied confidence in their body images despite what the media thinks a woman should look like.

Demi recently spoke to Ryan Seacrest back in July about her upcoming album and how it reflects the new Demi Lovato.

“The thing with my music, I’ve spent so long just kind of people pleasing, making everybody happy with being the best role model I can be. At the end of the day, yes, I’m outspoken about the things I believe in: mental health, advocacy work, I have my own charity. I have all these things that make me a role model. But at the same time, none of these things are representing the bada** that I am.”

“I’m no longer serious. I’m done with the sob stories and the tales. New chapter, new life, new album, new single, this is a completely new Demi. There’s definitely a lot of provocative songs on the album.”
