Jimmy Fallon Reprises His Donald Trump Persona And Interviews Himself [Video]

Jimmy Fallon reprised his infamous Donald Trump persona this week when he went head-to-head in the mirror with the real Donald Trump on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

The segment purportedly showed Donald Trump preparing for his appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s show, but it was really Jimmy Fallon as Donald Trump interviewing the real Trump in what was intended to look like a mirror.

Fans of the show would know that this is not the first time Jimmy Fallon has donned his Trump-wig.

As NBC News reported, both characters gave away their own self-awareness several times during the interview. Jimmy Fallon called out Trump on his past statements that, if elected President, he would construct a wall on the border between Mexico and the United States to physically prevent immigrants from crossing into the US.

When asked how he was going to achieve that seemingly impossible objective, Trump’s response shot the question down in flames.

“Since I’m you, why don’t you tell me?”

When Jimmy Fallon asked Trump “How are you going to create jobs in this country?” he was clearly stopped short by Donald Trump’s reply.

“I’m just gonna do it.”

The silence rang out as Fallon seemed to wait for a follow-up, but when none was forthcoming, Jimmy followed up with “Right. Right. But – but how?” Donald Trump’s reply left a lot to be desired – but managed the garner the intended laughs from the audience.

“By doing it. It just happens. Just by doing it.”

Just when Donald Trump felt like he might have actually landed some serious political policies during this interview, it was revealed that his interviewer committed the ultimate crime – not listening or paying one bit of attention to the answers being given.

“I’m sorry, I wasn’t paying attention. I was too busy staring at my beautiful reflection. I’m like a Greek god who just took a bath in a pumpkin spice latte.”

The final zinger occurred when Jimmy Fallon asked Trump about his choice of Vice President, should Trump win the presidential election.

“If you win, is your Vice President gonna be Gary Bussey?”

Donald Trump’s response proved that the magnate at least keeps up to date with entertainment news.

“Look. I love Gary, he’s fantastic. But more of a Supreme Court Justice, in my opinion. Vice President is a very serious job, so I’m probably gonna go with somebody else, I would say maybe Kanye West.”

Kanye West recently announced his dream of running for President of the United States in 2020 during an acceptance speech at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, CNN reported. After talking about his daughter and the effect that she has had on his life, Kanye West went on to admit that he was high at the time and then ended his speech with the phrase that’s got everyone talking.

“I have decided in 2020 to run for president.”
