Kim Kardashian Flaunts The ‘Rock Chick’ Look

Kim Kardashian may be married to rapper Kanye West, but who knew that Kim is a secret metal head? Kim flaunted her rock chick credentials during a shopping spree in New York City yesterday. Kardashian, who is six months pregnant, was surrounded by friends and a security team during her shopping trip in the big Apple, but was photographed giving a hint that her music tastes may go beyond rap and Andrea Bocelli.

Kim has previously admitted to being a fan of her husband’s music and has spoken of being a big fan of Lana Del Rey in the past. On this occasion, The Daily Mail reports that Kardashian rocked a Metallica T-Shirt matched with a tight black mini skirt and black thigh length boots. Despite it being a warm day, Kim topped her look with a long black winter coat and dark sunglasses. It seems that Kardashian’s retinue are metal fans as her best friend Jonathan Cheban was also spotted wearing a Metallica shirt earlier this week.

The Mirror report that in the evening Kim joined husband Kanye West for a night out at a party hosted by Rihanna. Kim sported an altogether more formal outfit during the evening when she sported a cream colored Givenchy outfit. Kim again showed her love of thigh high boots, though on this occasion, her boots were open-toed. Kim topped her outfit with a cream colored blazer. Kanye’s outfit was considerably more simple, he sported torn jeans and a white open neck shirt.

Kim shared her evening look on her Instagram account telling her 45.8 million followers that her outfit was designed by Givenchy and Yeezy.

Incredibly, Kardashian’s Instagram post has been liked over 700,000 times in under 24 hours. Kardashian has long been known as the Instagram queen. Kim has shared over 3,000 pictures, mostly of herself, on the social media platform. Kim has held the crown for the highest number of Instagram followers for some time, but was passed by Taylor Swift earlier this week.

According to the Guardian, Swift has now passed Kim and has 46.1 million followers despite posting fewer than 700 times. The Guardian claim that Taylor’s pictures of “kittens, sweaters, nail art and photos of her friends during sleepover parties” is popular because it is “more wholesome” than Kim’s “blurry party scenes and copious cleavage shots.”
