Liam Payne And Sophia Smith Discuss Future Wedding, But Brit Crooner Still Wants Her To ‘Be Successful In Her Own Right’

Liam Payne and Sophia Smith have been dating for two years and recently, the One Direction member opened up about his plans to get hitched. In his talked about interview with Attitude, the 22-year-old confirmed that he and Sophia have already discussed marriage.

“We have talked about marriage, but 22 seems a bit young for us. Sophia needs to go off and do what she wants to do. I don’t want her to be one of those stay-at-home girlfriends who doesn’t really do much.”

Liam also wants his lady love to have a life of her own despite being pushed into the spotlight because of her romance with the Brit crooner.

“Sophia has to live her own life. She can’t just see me do what I do and follow me around. She has to be successful in her own right and do her things. And I know she will.”

Sophia is continuously making Liam proud because apart from making a name in fashion, Payno revealed that she recently organized a charity event and raised approximately $540,000.

Liam and Sophia went public with their romance when they stepped out hand in hand at the One Direction: This Is Us premiere in London in August 2013. The “Drag Me Down” singer admitted that it took a while for his shy girlfriend to get used to the attention.

“She’s great; she’s very good at fitting into situations. It’s taken her a while to get used to everything but she has now, and I love her to bits. She’s the most honest person and she’ll tell me what’s going on in my life. That’s what I need.”

Speculations have risen that Liam proposed to Sophia during their recent trip to Disney World. The “Night Changes” hit maker gave a hint when he labelled a fan tweet as his “favorite.”

News about “Sophiam’s” engagement also surfaced when Liam allegedly visited celebrity wedding planner Mindy Weiss in Los Angeles. The 1D singer’s representative, however, denied the news.

Furthermore, despite having a strong bond, it appears that Liam won’t marry Sophia yet because of a valid reason which he disclosed to Sugarscape.

“My sister’s just about to get married so there’s not anything…I don’t want it to be like a Ross and a thingy moment – no, I mean Rachel and Monica: ‘you stole my thunder’ – I don’t wanna be the thunder guy. That would be horrible.”

Sophia’s beau also added that he’s writing a wedding song for his sister.
