Nicole Scherzinger Finally Responds To Ed Sheeran Dating Rumors

Nicole Scherzinger has finally responded to the rumors that she and Ed Sheeran are dating. It turns out that it was all a stunt, cleverly planned between her and the British singer. Both loved the idea, after being friends for so long with rumors continually circulating.

According to Huffington Post UK, the former Pussycat Dolls lead singer said that she and Ed wanted to take “the mick.” She even laughed at how she thought of it herself, and her friend loved the idea. It all came to mind after naming him as one of her dream Bring the Noise guests.

“It had been going on for so long and Ed and I are good mates, so we decided to just have fun and take the mick.”

Rumors of Sheeran and Scherzinger dating started in early August. The two were spotted together on numerous occasions, and of course they had to be dating for that to take place. Both refused to speak out about the rumors for some time, allowing the publicity to continue. The rumors continued to grow after she shared a video singing one of his songs, pretending that they had broken up. However, Ed was recently spotted with an old school friend, who is he now rumored to be dating instead.

Nicole has been focusing more on her career than her love life. After splitting with Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton in January, she decided to move onto her music career again. She has signed with a new label, and hopes next year will see the release of a new album. While sharing news debunking the rumors about her and Ed Sheeran, she shared that the rumors of being dropped from her label were also false.

“We thought it was quite clever of us. I thought of it all on my own.”

The Daily Mirror reports that she cannot speak much about the new label she is signing with. The contract is still being finalized, but she is excited about the opportunity and her new music.

As well as enjoying some vacation time, Sheeran also looks to be focusing on his music right now. He was spotted recently with Backstreet Boys’ Howie Dorough and ‘NSync’s Joey Fatone. Sharing an Instagram picture of the three of them, he commented about starting a band. It could be possible that the two are featured somewhere on his next album.

It just goes to show that any publicity can be good publicity. The rumors of Nicole and Ed together have put them both in the limelight recently. It was all a joke, though, carefully masterminded by the former X Factor judge. They are definitely not an item, but it does not look like Ed Sheeran is back on the market.
