Woman Fired From Lingerie Warehouse For Being “Too Hot”

When a busty blonde gets hired by a lingerie shop, I think the expectation is that the dress code is going to be pretty lax. But for New Jersey resident Lauren Odes, her Orthodox Jewish employers made her aware that they didn’t appreciate her busty physique and her form fitting clothing. They may sell “thongs with hearts placed in the female genital area and boy shorts for women that say ‘hot’ in the buttocks area.” but they expect proper modest dress form their employees.

Odes worked as a data entry clerk at the Native Intimates warehouse for a week in late April. She says he asked about a dress code and was told to look at what everyone else was wearing.

Odes said at a press conference Wednesday,

“The dress was very casual athletic wear to business attire.”

Odes says that after two days things got a little uncomfortable for her though. She was told that her lips were too flashy and bright, her clothes too tight and her breasts were too big. She was told that she should tape her breasts down and one time was even forced to cover herself with a “humiliating” bathrobe.

She claims after a week she was told,

“You are just too hot for this office.”

Odes has hired feminist lawyer Gloria Allred. Odes was quoted by Reuters as saying.

“We should not be judged by the size of our breasts or the shape of our body,”

Along with her attorney, Odes filed a discrimination suit against the company.

Odes said,

“I understand that there are Orthodox Jewish men who may have their views about how women should dress… but I do not feel that any employer has the right to impose their religious beliefs on me.”

Native Intimates declined a request for comment.
