With all the spoilers arriving weekly about the fate of a certain character who met with a blade in the season 5 finale of Game of Thrones, it doesn’t seem like long before HBO is forced to admit they are carefully wording their statements in relation to the character’s survival in season 6. Here’s the latest information we have on that character.

WARNING: This article contains rumors and potential spoilers about season 6 of HBO’s Game of Thrones. If you have not viewed all the episodes or read all the books in the series it is based on, please proceed with caution.

Ever since the season 5 finale of Game of Thrones, the internet has been rife with rumors and speculation about whether Jon Snow (played by Kit Harrington) was killed when he was stabbed multiple times by his brothers on the Night’s Watch or whether he might somehow miraculously recover. There are plenty of theories, most of which can be found in this previous article by the Inquisitr. As for the cast and crew, many times they have commented on the fate of Jon Snow in season 6 of Game of Thrones and the general consensus follows that of the show’s director, David Nutter, when he told Entertainment Weekly that “Jon Snow is deader than dead.”

But now more news is coming from Belfast, where filming is currently underway for season 6 of Game of Thrones. According to Game of Thrones fan site Watchers on the Wall, Kit Harrington has been sighted on set filming an epic battle scene. The speculation is that this scene will occur in Episode 9 and will involve “many northern armies fighting including the Umbers, the Boltons, wildlings and more.”

Fans have been sending filming details to Watchers on the Wall constantly since filming for season 6 of Game of Thrones began, which include casting call information, sighting of the cast, and photos of filming occurring.

While Watchers on the Wall started out as a fan site, many mainstream media outlets are now turning to the website for information on Game of Thrones thanks to the fact that the rumors and speculation cited there quite often leads to accurate information on upcoming events in Game of Thrones.

Game of Thrones returns for season 6 on HBO in 2016.
