Sneak Peek: ‘Teen Mom 2’ Leah Messer Admits To Being ‘Nervous’ And ‘Scared’ Before Entering Treatment [Video]

In a sneak peek at tonight’s Teen Mom 2, Leah Messer is seen discussing her then-upcoming entry into treatment and how it will impact her three daughters, Ali and Aleeah, 5, and Adalynn, 2.

“They’ll get through it. It’s going to hurt me more than it is them,” Leah tells her younger sister, Victoria, in a sneak peek of tonight’s Teen Mom 2, shared by PEOPLE Magazine on September 10. “I’m scared to go. I’m nervous to go.”

As the sneak peek continues, Messer explains that while it will be hard leaving her life behind, she needs to do what’s best for herself and her future.

“I know as a mom and the woman I am right now, that I need to go away to a treatment center for some help. I’m not trying to be a crybaby about it either. I’m just trying to go to get the help I need, and go on.”

According to PEOPLE Magazine, Messer’s reported struggles with drug addiction have been discussed during her battle over her twins. As fans will recall, Messer’s ex-husband, Corey Simms, wants full custody of the twins due to her being what he deemed an “unfit” parent, who is dealing with a “drug problem.”

During an earlier sneak peek at the show, also shared by PEOPLE Magazine, Messer admitted to being prescribed pain medication after a painful birth with daughter Adalynn in February 2013. However, according to the magazine, Messer has since said she’s “stopped abusing the medication.”

“I know I have to push myself through this, because when I get back, it will be worth it all,” Messer concludes in the sneak peek.

While Messer previously claimed she was no longer taking medication for her birth-related pain, she did admit during one of the early episodes of Teen Mom 2 Season 6 that she was prescribed medication for her headaches, which she tested positive for during a custody hearing for her twins. The lawyer confirmed on camera that the judge was aware of the medication.

As the sneak peek revealed, Messer’s journey to treatment is the reality star’s second. Last week on the show, Messer was seen backing out of her first scheduled stint in treatment after fearing Simms would take custody of her daughters while she was away.
