‘Bachelor In Paradise’ Star Ashley Iaconetti: ‘I’d Relive It All Over Again In A Heartbeat’
Bachelor In Paradise star Ashley Iaconetti is back home now after a desperate attempt to get Jared Haibon to fall in love with her. No matter what Iaconetti did, she couldn’t get Jared to fall in love with her. But he did try to distance himself from Iaconetti several times. Ashley simply didn’t take the hint and their Bachelor In Paradise journey took an interesting turn several times.
Now, Ashley Iaconetti is reflecting on her time on the show and she totally understands why Jared wanted to explore other things. As she herself points out, Ashley did everything to win him over and nothing worked. And nothing would ever work between him and Iaconetti. So, fans were shocked when she revealed she could be dropping her V-card to win him over.
According to a new Cosmopolitan report, Ashley Iaconetti is now explaining that she did keep things cool on their night together. And he wasn’t about to take something so precious from her.
“I had zero intention of going beyond first base that night and even if I did, there’s no way Jared would have. It was a rated-PG makeout, people!” Iaconetti explains in her blog for the magazine, adding, “I don’t know how he feels about that night, but for me it was the easiest, most enjoyable time and conversation I think we ever had — I remember thinking, Man, it sucks it hasn’t been like this the entire time. But I knew the next morning it was too little, too late. I felt connected to him that night, but in the morning, completely unplugged. I knew the ~big, final breakup~ was inevitable.”
Ashley had really given it her best shot, but maybe he wasn’t ready to love again. And sadly, Iaconetti was the girl caught right in the middle. While Bachelor In Paradise was great entertainment for the rest of the world, Ashley did explain that the shows were great experiences for her – even though she cried a lot.
“I did everything I could to win Jared over, but the truth is love should come naturally. I have no regrets. I was open and honest and emotionally braver than I’ve ever been. It just wasn’t there, and I had to let him go literally and figuratively. I’m thankful for the chances he gave me, the time we spent in Paradise; Jared raised the bar for me, as if my standards weren’t high enough to begin with. I left feeling at peace, sort of? I’d be lying if I said I was writing this without tears streaming down my face though, not because of sadness necessarily, but gratitude,” Iaconetti pointed out in her blog.
And Ashley ended her blog with a very telling statement. It sounds like you won’t be seeing Ashley in any future episodes of the show.
“Even with the heartbreak and the tears, I’d relive it all over again in a heartbeat… however, I think I’m retired from the franchise,” Iaconetti revealed.
It sounds like Chris Harrison will have to find someone else to replace her for next year’s Bachelor In Paradise.
