Juliette Grimes Rescued From Arcade Game After Dare Goes Wrong [Video]
How does a 6-year-old girl get stuck inside a claw-type arcade game? Apparently, Juliette Grimes answered the call of the “double dog dare” — and immediately found herself in a tight squeeze.
CBS DFW reports the unusual incident occurred at a pizza parlor in Frisco, Texas, on Monday evening. Grimes was playing with her 8-year-old sister, Katy, and other children when her sister declared that she really wanted a ball out of a claw arcade game. Juliette explained that she took matters into her own hands to help her sister get the desired prize.
“I opened the door, and I had my legs out… So I opened the door, then put my whole body in there… and I got balls, but I couldn’t get out.”
Grimes found herself completely stuck inside the machine, and this led to something of a hilarious photo-op.

CBS News reports it also resulted in a not-so-hilarious 911 phone call. Firefighters soon after arrived to the pizza parlor to rescue the youngster. In the above video clip of the incident, you can see the bemused professionals removing Juliette from the arcade game.
It was only after the event that big sister Katy Grimes confessed to CBS DFW that she might have “double dog dared” young Juliette to put herself in that uncomfortable situation.
“I haven’t told my mom this yet, [but] maybe, it was a double dog dare.”
Juliette Grimes only said she wanted to get a ball for her sister Katy. If there was a “dare” involved, she wasn’t willing to tattle on her sibling.
Cecilia Green, the girls’ mother, admits that Juliette views “anything and everything as a challenge.”
Said Green, “If there’s a boundary, they’re meant for other kids. Not for her.”
As much as she adores her daughter’s spirit, it was impossible for her to ignore the trouble she caused.
Juliette and Katy were both “grounded,” which means no sweets or television privileges for some time. Even so, it’s possible this will be a hilarious childhood memory that the mischievous duo will remember fondly. As for whether or not she believes this is the end of arcade game-related drama for Juliette, Cecilia said that she didn’t think her daughter would try it again.
“Hopefully, [not for] another few years, at least,” she remarked.
