‘Blade & Soul’ Closed Beta Dates Scheduled Throughout The Year, Release Still Targeted For Early 2016

With Blade & Soul coming to Western players next year, the game’s developers are ready to test the MMO with the public. Five closed beta dates were announced on the game’s official website with the first two being presented in English only. The latter three will feature tests for English, French, and German languages.

Although five closed beta dates are scheduled, more may be added before release. Each session will start on a Friday and end on a Monday, except for the third beta weekend which begins on November 24 and ends on November 30. With all five closed beta tests, Blade & Soul fans will have 20 days of play time to test out the Wuxia adventure of betrayal, vengeance, and redemption.

To guarantee access into the closed beta cycles, interested players can purchase a Founder’s Pack. As the Inquisitr reported, the $25 option is the cheapest way to surely gain access to all of the closed betas. That amount of money will also give the player a three-day head start when the game launches, two unqiue character titles, and a number of Premium Points which enhance the optional subscription when active. Two other Founder’s Packs are also available and guarantee access to all closed beta periods. These more expensive options also include the three-day head start, titles, and Premium Points. However, even more goodies are included like boosters, name reservation, Premium Memberships, and much more.

Otherwise, players can sign up for the beta and hope that they receive an offer as part of a series of limited invites. Players can sign up for a chance at a beta invite by visiting the official site and entering a valid email after clicking the orange “Sign Up” button. Blade & Soul developers also insist that there will opportunities to gain access to a beta cycle via social media and participating partners like popular websites.

Blade & Soul is an Asian-inspired MMORPG featuring an intense martial arts style of combat. Players will be able to master Windwalking movement and action combat centered on action and reaction. Players will be able to block and counter attacks while NPCs can do the same. Even the game’s action bar will change during certain combat situations suggesting particular abilities that might be useful in special situations. A brief overview of combat and how it functions in Blade & Soul can be found on the game’s website.
