‘Legends Of Tomorrow’ Starts Production As DC Releases New Footage And Teasers

Legends of Tomorrow will premiere early next year on CW, but the cast is starting work on Season 1 this week. This means that the cameras are now rolling on set. There is one big reveal

On Wednesday, Marc Guggenheim shared the first page of the series premiere script on his Twitter account. There is one big reveal from the script page. The pilot will be a two-part episode.

Guggenheim also shared a photo from a table read last week.

There was mixed reaction to the news about the start of production. Some fans are excited about a new DC series, but others are worried about the series ruining their favorite DC characters.

Many of the characters appearing on Legends of Tomorrow have appeared elsewhere already. DC has willingly used The Flash and Arrow to test out these characters, and they brought the characters that resonated with fans the most to the new series.

That piece of information was revealed in a new DC All Access clip released earlier this week. Caity Lotz, Brandon Routh, and others teased the new series for fans. Both Lotz and Routh appeared on Arrow.

The clip does contain footage of the new heroes working together, but the footage was specifically shot for a CW Sizzle Reel. It was not new footage.

However, the clip does give fans an idea of what they can expect out of the new series. The black is gone for Sara Lance; she is dressed all in white in the footage.

It has been revealed in previous spoilers that Sara Lance will be brought back from the dead in the Lazarus Pit. Constantine will come along to help, and the clip does show her teasing the new Sara Lance.

Thea Queen has already experienced the pit herself, and she has come out of it a bit unstable. Lotz teased that Sara will still be Sara Lance, but she will also deal with some issues because of her return from the dead.

Sara was killed early on during Arrow Season 3. That means her death happened nearly a year ago. There is no way that period of time will not impact her in some way.

CW has released a synopsis for Legends of Tomorrow, according to ComicBook.com.

“When heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat — one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?”

What do you think? Are you excited for the premiere of Legends of Tomorrow? The series will debut on CW in January.
