‘Neverwinter’ On The Xbox One Now Updated With ‘Elemental Evil’ Patch Including Content From Five Expansions

Xbox One players enjoying Neverwinter have a new class, an extended level cap, new zones, and much more to appreciate. The “Elemental Evil” update on the console includes content from four expansions previously released on PC according to Arc Games. This consists of eight new zones, four campaigns, two new dungeons, three new skirmishes, and a level cap increase from 60 to 70.

“Elemental Evil” includes content from the “Fury of the Feywild,” the “Shadowmantle,” and the “Curse of Icewind Dale” modules. Each comes with its own campaign with latter requiring level 60 and the formers requiring the new level cap of 70. The “Curse of Icewind Dale” also includes a PvP campaign and an open-world PvP element. All of the campaigns includes new maps, new enemies, and more for players to explore.

As the Inquisitr discussed last month, the “Elemental Evil” module will also add the Oathbound Paladin class to Neverwinter. This class can specialize in tanking for their allies or healing the allies on the battlefield. The Oathbound Paladin uses a resource called Divine Call that is generated passively and through the use certain abilities. Using Divine Call either taunt foes or heal friends depending on the chosen path.

Alongside on all the new, free content comes a new addition to the Zen Market as well. To commemorate the release of the Oathbound Paladin, a new Oathbound Paladin Booster Pack is now available. The pack was detailed on the official Neverwinter website and is said to include a Dedicated Squire Companion, a few pieces of equipment, a Greater Bag of Holding, and an Adventurer’s Helper Pack. The booster also unlocks the “Shield of the Weak” title for purchasers.

With “Elemental Evil” out now on Xbox One, console players have the “Strongholds” expansion to anticipate next. This module, currently available on PC, pits guilds against each other on the largest map in Neverwinter. Guilds will need to clear the locals before taking over the local keep and then later expand their fortress with new buildings, bonuses, and more. In fact, executive producer Rob Overmyer had this to say on the future of Neverwinter on the Xbox One.

“With six expansions’ worth of free content released since launch, our team continues to support Neverwinter and its players with all new locations along and outside of the Sword Coast filled with challenging dungeons to crawl and wicked monsters to battle. We’re excited to continue our support with the Strongholds expansion in 2015.”
