Carole Radziwill Responds To Heather Thomson’s ‘RHONY’ Exit

Carole Radziwill will no longer star alongside friend Heather Thomson on The Real Housewives of New York City. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Thomson announced her exit from the Bravo reality series earlier today, after months of speculation regarding her possible return. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the co-star of Carole Radziwill claimed she was simply unable to juggle the show with her growing business and family.

Hours later, Carole Radziwill spoke to Us Weekly, revealing her thoughts regarding Thomson’s exit.

“[Heather] just knew it was time to move on. We had some really good times. Heather is a very accomplished and honorable person. She brought that and so much more to the show. She’s an incredible mom and business woman, with or without the show. There is no doubt Heather will always do great things. While she won’t be part of the show, she is still a part of my life, and for that I’m grateful. Holla!”

Carole Radziwill came onto The Real Housewives of New York City with Thomson and Aviva Drescher during the series’ fifth season, following the release of Jill Zarin, Alex McCord, Kelly Bensimon, and Cindy Barshop.

According to Thomson, Andy Cohen, a close friend of Carole Radziwill, “understood” Thomson’s decision to leave the show.

“He knows I have a big business that needs my focus. He’s proud of me and the job that I did on the show. He graciously complimented my integrity, who I am and who I’ve always been.”

While Thomson will surely miss her positive relationships with Carole Radziwill and her other friends on the show, she won’t miss “the forced drama.”

“The hurtfulness over someone else and at someone’s expense — I don’t do that. I’m the exact opposite.”

Earlier this week, a source told New York Daily News that Carole Radziwill was expected to return to The Real Housewives of New York City for season 8 due to her ongoing feud with fellow reality star LuAnn de Lesseps, who will allegedly also be asked back.

As fans of the show have seen, Carole Radziwill and De Lesseps were at war during season 7 over Carole Radziwill’s relationship with the much-younger Adam Kentworthy, who previously dated De Lesseps’ niece. According to De Lesseps, Radziwill knew her niece and shouldn’t have violated girl code, but according to Carole Radziwill, she and De Lesseps’ niece were never close friends.
