Phaedra Parks Has Yet To Allow Her Children To Visit Their Father Apollo In Prison [Report]

Phaedra Parks and her children have not yet visited Apollo Nida behind bars — at least according to the latest report. On September 8, Radar Online claimed the Real Housewives of Atlanta star and her two sons, Ayden, 5, and Dylan, 2, have not yet traveled to Kentucky, where Nida is currently serving an eight-year prison sentence for fraud.

In April, Phaedra Parks responded to backlash over her decision to keep her children from the Federal prison. Below is what she said, according to an earlier report by Radar Online.

“The one thing I will say is that every single decision I make is based on one thing: the well-being of my two boys. It’s easy for people to ask why she did that or why she isn’t doing this, but the simple truth is unless you are in that situation yourself, you really can’t make that judgment.”

Phaedra Parks’s comments were posted to her Bravo blog after her husband openly begged her to bring his sons to see him behind bars, claiming he needed “support” from his family.

“I do my best to make smart decisions after carefully considering all options and consulting with experts and others who advise me. I know in my heart that everything I do is based on what is best for my children.”

Despite her husband being behind bars for crimes he allegedly committed behind her back, Phaedra Parks has yet to file for divorce. Clearly, her marriage isn’t in the best place, but so far, she hasn’t chosen to end it, which has many wondering whether she’ll take Nida back after his prison term is complete.

For now, Phaedra Parks is busy filming the eighth season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, which will reportedly include a few new faces, which will fill the empty place left by the show’s former star, NeNe Leakes, who had been with Bravo since the show began. Also joining Phaedra Parks for Season 8 are returning housewives Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore, Cynthia Bailey, and Porsha Williams.

Phaedra Parks’ former co-star, Claudia Jordan, will reportedly not return to the series in a full-time role, although she may be seen from time-to-time. Sheree Whitfield and Marlo Hampton will also reportedly make a couple of appearances throughout Season 8.

Phaedra Parks will return to The Real Housewives of Atlanta for Season 8 later this year or early next year on Bravo. A premiere date for the new season has not yet been set.
