Britney Spears: ‘Virgin’ Secrets — Gina Rodriguez Talks Success, Fame, And The Princess Of Pop

Britney Spears has made a number of cameo appearances on hit TV shows in the past. Most recently, however, the pop princess signed on to make a guest appearance on one of her favorite television programs. The 34-year-old singer of “Pretty Girls” will appear on an upcoming episode of Jane the Virgin.

Spears’ appearance on set, however, was kept from the entire cast and crew. Therefore, it came as a surprise that the songstress was going to be a part of the episode’s action. Golden Globe winner Gina Rodriguez was completely unaware that Brit was set to cameo. The star of Jane the Virgin chatted with Extra about being left out of the important and exciting information that was a happy surprise.

“I don’t know anything. Jennie [Snyder, series creator] doesn’t tell me anything, because she knows I would tell you guys everything.”

The notable actress previously tweeted in regards to discovering that Britney would be appearing on the show.

“Literally fell out my chair @britneyspears I can not wait to work with you beauty! I’m covered in goosebumps. This is unreal!!!”

The star of the hit show admits that she isn’t usually given much time to even prepare for her own role on the show, let alone be made aware of big-time pop sensations like Spears being a part of filming.

“I get the scripts the day before I start shooting,” she continued. “Think about life – you don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow. It’s kind of nice to live in the moment, right?”

Both Britney and Gina have a list of accomplishments and big things for their careers on the horizon. Britney has been hit performer in Vegas in recent months, and she has a new album soon to drop. Her latest single, “Pretty Girls,” made a good run on the charts, which many had doubted would be the case. Rodriguez is currently the star of Jane the Virgin and also will be starring in Deepwater Horizon, a film involving Kate Hudson, Kurt Russell, and Mark Wahlberg.

As the Belfast Telegraph relays, Gina has shared a side of her career that even Brit has admitted is difficult to get used to.

“I don’t think you can ever get used to photoshoots or red carpets or any of that. I’m definitely like a 14-year-old any time I do any of that.”
