Kris Jenner Angered By Caitlyn Using Their Marriage As A Distraction [Video]

As seen on Sunday’s episode of Caitlyn Jenner’s E! series, I Am Cait, Kris Jenner and the former Olympian have an intense conversation about the manner in which Caitlyn’s transition is affecting Kris and the rest of the Jenner-Kardashian family. Kris, who has clearly struggled with the transformation her ex has undergone, spoke openly with Caitlyn about how her choices have impacted the people closest to her.

Bang Showbiz relays the Kardashian matriach’s words to Caitlyn while on the series.

”You’re sensitive and amazing to all these new people in your life, but you’re just not sensitive and amazing to the family you left behind. When you feel like you gave your whole life to somebody. And the sum of it all was you were a distraction.”

Kris alluding to herself and her marriage to Bruce as a “distraction” was due to Caitlyn using the term to describe her struggles before taking the step to make her journey known to others. Jenner responded to attempt to clarify the matter and to help Kris feel more at peace with her intentions and decisions.

”I try to do what I can. Be nice, reach out. You have to see it from my perspective. Be an ally when it comes to dealing with the kids. Don’t go there. This is not the issue. I was defending myself. It was a distraction from who I was. It doesn’t mean I didn’t love you or the kids.”

Caitlyn became defensive at Kris’ suggestion that she left the family behind and was not invested in the relationship with her. The reality star noted that she always supports her children and did have a true affection and love for Kris over the years. As the Mirror UK shares, the emotions ran high when Kris opened up about missing Bruce.

“I’m really happy for you, I really am. But sometimes we miss having Bruce around… we all do.”

Caitlyn then responded to Kris’ emotional confession, noting that she had no idea as to what her path was going to be once leaving Kris after 22 years.

“I did not leave you thinking I was going to transition. I didn’t know what I was going to do. I never thought I’d be here.”

The publication reminds that during Caitlyn’s interview with Diane Sawyer, she did, in fact, connect the failure of the couple’s marriage with Kris’ lack of understanding.

“If she had been really good with it and understanding, we’d probably still be together.”
