Liverpool FC News: Jurgen Klopp Putting Liverpool On Alert?

Former Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has hinted that he could be close to returning back to management in the near future. Jurgen Klopp has been linked to numerous clubs and many believe that Liverpool could be his favored destination.

As reported by the Liverpool Echo, Jurgen Klopp stated that he was ready to work on an “exciting project.”

“I’m really very relaxed – but only because I know that it goes some time. I’ll be back to train a team, not an absolute top club, there are other good projects that are exciting who need help.”

“I inform, read, meet a lot of people – there are ordinary little things that make great fun. I miss currently nothing.”

Just last summer, Jurgen Klopp’s agent, Marc Kosicke, hinted that they would not rule out a move to a club outside the top four in England.

“We do not only think about the top four because there are some other great clubs below them. It is always all about the challenge. He has the great ability to develop things. If he goes into a stadium, feels the energy and thinks that he can make a difference here, this could be more attractive to him than going with the big deals and aim for the treble.”

The Liverpool manager has had a decent start to the season so far, but Rodgers will be wary of difficulty trips away from home on the horizon. Liverpool will face Manchester United at Old Trafford and pressure could start to mount for Brendan Rodgers should he fail to pick up a single point as The Reds would fall behind Manchester United in the league table.

While Brendan Rodgers’ job is still considered safe, fans and pundit alike believe that he is one of the favorites to be the first manager sacked this season. However, given the patience of the Liverpool boardroom and Rodgers’ solid start to the season so far, it is unlike that he will be especially since they are other managers within the Barclays Premier League already feeling the heat.

Former Tottenham manager, Harry Redknapp, was highly critical of the Liverpool squad this season branding them the worst Liverpool team he has seen in years. Speaking to The Telegraph Harry Redknapp said, “I don’t fancy Liverpool at all this year.”

“I think it’s the worst Liverpool team I have seen in years. They look bang average. They are lucky to have any points. Bournemouth should have beaten them, they got a wonder goal at Stoke. OK, they played all right first-half at Arsenal. I think they will do well to finish in the top five. I am not with Liverpool at all this year. Having said that they will probably win the league.”

Will Jurgen Klopp eventually replace Brendan Rodgers? Do you agree with Harry Redknapp statement about Liverpool?
