Emily Ratajkowski Has Some Pretty Harsh Words For The ‘Blurred Lines’ Music Video

Emily Ratajkowski, a beautiful American actress and model, is topping headlines once again and the 24-year-old recently slammed the music video that launched her to stardom. As reported by Billboard, although Emily Ratajkowski became famous worldwide after her performance in the video for “Blurred Lines,” the actress now describes the song as the “bane of her existence.”

In an interview with In Style UK, Ratajkowski gave the following statement regarding how she now feels about the video.

“I wasn’t into the idea at all at first. I think I came off as a bit annoyed in the video. Now, it’s the bane of my existence. When anyone comes up to me about Blurred Lines, I’m like, are we seriously talking about a video from three years ago?

“It’s weird to me that the reaction to a woman’s naked body is so controversial in our culture. My mum taught me to never apologise for my sexuality. My dad never made me feel embarrassed. I also don’t think I’ve ever had an awareness of my own body as being super-sexual. It was always just my body.”

In the video, Ratajkowski can be seen — along with other models — participating in a party full of sensuality and eroticism. The video was a major success and became the number one song of the year 2013 in several countries. Not only did it make her an international sex symbol, it also expanded the success of singer Robin Thicke and musician Pharrell Williams.

Now it appears that after more than two years following the release of the video, Emily Ratajkowski no longer enjoys seeing herself in “Blurred Lines.” On the contrary, it seems as if she hates it and she acknowledged that she wants her fans to forget her appearance in the video.

While Robin Thicke’s video that features T.I. and Pharrell captured the attention of audiences worldwide thanks to its scantily-clad models, Ratajkowski admitted to InStyle UK that her appearance in the video has become a problem. As indicated, at first she liked her participation in the video, but now she calls it the bane of her existence and says she is tired because every time someone starts a conversation with her, the first thing they mention is her appearance in the video.
