You can then enter the code and claim your free pizza at www.pizzahut.com. Don’t think that you missed out on your chance to get a free pizza. Pizza Hut announced that they will be giving away free pizzas during the first full week of college football season.

Pizza Hut knows that ESPN College GameDay is the kickoff to college football and football season in general in the U.S. The company wants to make the season even better for sport fans by offering some of its best pizza, according to vice president of Pizza Hut’s marketing, Jared Drinkwater.

“We recognize that our fans are also huge college football fans, and we feel that there is no better sports property to reach these consumers than College GameDay. From the television audience, to the volume of fans reached each week on the road, this program engages fans in ways most programs do not. We cannot wait to bring college football fans an exciting experience each week throughout the season.”

Why does Pizza Hut want to give away so many large pizzas? According to Jared, it’s the food of football season.

“We’re rewarding college football fans in the best way by giving them the perfect game-watching food: pizza. All they have to do is watch for the sign – an integral part of the College GameDay experience.”

In addition to this sports marketing campaign, Pizza Hut will also be sampling their pizzas on-site at college campuses. Fans must visit the Pizza Hut tents to create their own signs and compete for their signs to be seen on the ESPN College GameDay telecast, according to a previous report via Market Watch.

ESPN College GameDay Built by the Home Depot kicked off with Wisconsin and Texas playing in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. Some fans got creative by making their own Pizza Hut signs, as noted by NextImpulseSports.
