Jessa Seewald: Sister-In-Law Speaks Out On Josh Duggar

Jessa Seewald-Duggar hasn't spoken publicly about her brother's various scandals, but she did recently share a post containing the views of her father-in-law, which spoke volumes about her feelings. Now, her sister-in-law is speaking out about eldest Duggar son Josh and the scandals that have plagued him since May, saying that he is a hypocrite.

"In a world riddled with people who profess Christ and His love with their mouths, yet with their lives portray a totally different set of values, sometimes it becomes necessary to stand up and speak the truth," said Jessica Seewald.

The Seewald family has been pretty vocal about Josh and his indiscretions, with Jessa's father-in-law Michael releasing a statement following the revelation that Josh had molested several underage girls -- including Jessa -- when he was a teenager and the news that he had two paid accounts on the cheating site Ashley Madison, which was revealed when hackers released personal information from millions of users. Michael Seewald wrote that Josh has claimed to be a Christian for years but is ultimately just a hypocrite.

"It distresses me to say that Josh Duggar's greatest sin is a byproduct of the sum total of his secretly sinful lifestyle. That is, that by his hypocrisy, he blasphemed the name of God. He claimed to be a Christian, but by his deeds he has suggested otherwise. With the name of God on his lips he lived a covert and extensive lifestyle of evil. While proudly saying things like, 'Our family is like the epitome of conservative values,' he was looking at porn and soliciting affairs. He took a job at the Family Research Council that exists to promote the traditional family, all the while undermining his own family by violating his marriage covenant," Seewald wrote.

Jessica Seewald says she understands that Jessa is torn between her love for her family members -- especially Josh's wife, Anna -- and her feelings about Josh's actions, because the scandal hasn't diminished her relationship with her sister-in-law.

"Obviously you don't stop loving someone you care about regardless of their bad choices. But I'm sure it's heartbreaking. Ben and Jessa are very tender, so I'm sure they're doing as much as they can for everyone involved," Jessica said.

Jessa Seewald has been trying her best to move past all the negative headlines her family has been a part of, sharing photos of her nephew Israel and posting about her upcoming wedding anniversary, saying fans can check out the family website for updates and never-before-seen photos from the wedding day.

"Last month on August 14th, we celebrated our engagement anniversary. This month, September 11th, marks two years since we went on our first date! And our 1-year wedding anniversary is just around the corner, November 1st! Be sure to check out our family website for updates. We're about to post our entire wedding photo album with never-before-seen pictures of our special day!" Jessa wrote on Instagram.
