Tamera Mowry-Housley Shares First Photo Of Baby Girl Ariah Talea

Tamera Mowry-Housley gave PEOPLE magazine an exclusive first look at her precious newborn baby girl, 8-week-old Ariah Talea, whom Tamera calls “mini-me.”

“She’s my mini-me,” The Real co-host tells PEOPLE. “She looks so much like me as a baby, it’s scary! She has my eyes and my cheeks — I had the droopy little cheeks.”

Ariah — whose name means “Lion of God” — joins two-and-a-half-year-old brother Aden, who Tamera says is high-energy like her husband Adam, while baby Ariah is similar to her own “calm” personality.

“We’re both calm,” says Mowry-Housley. “She’s a mellow baby, and the coolest thing is Aden is high-energy and [my husband] Adam is high-energy, so I think we’re balanced now.”

Tamera took to her personal website back in July to explain that she and Adam chose the unique name for their baby girl after being inspired by a shop of the same name, which immediately grabbed Mowry’s attention, E! Online reported. “It was and is such a beautiful name,” she shared, revealing that she opted to spell her daughter’s name phonetically.

“It’s been even more amazing to say her name while looking at her face and feel my heart almost explode with emotions,” Tamera wrote. “Uttering her name will likely mean many things to me over the years, but it’s the story of how we chose Ariah and what it stands for that will always remain consistent.”

Mowry revealed during a 2013 interview that she didn’t lose her virginity until age 29, and afterwards, she felt guilty and vowed to remain celibate until marriage. She and Fox News Correspondent Adam Housley married in 2011, after dating for almost six years. They welcomed son Aden a year later.

In January, Mowry-Housley announced through social media that she was expecting her second child, a girl. Ariah Talea was born on July 1, 2015. Tamera revealed to PEOPLE that she feels more “relaxed” as a mom for the second time, and how she’s embracing the differences in raising a boy and a baby girl.

“I have so much fun with the clothes,” she admits. “There are so many more choices! But I try to balance it out — I have really, really girly clothes, and then I have clothes that are kind of neutral.”

As a mom for the second time, Mowry-Housley revealed how much she looks forward to seeing her baby smile first thing in the morning.

“This is the sweetest thing — the first time she sees me in the morning,” says Mowry-Housley. “It melts me!… That’s the first thing that I looked forward to, because you work hard as a mom, and then when you get that smile, it just makes you feel good,” the actress shared.
