There is no doubt that Taylor Swift is an exceptionally hard worker and brings the talent to match, which allows the country singer/pop star to rule the charts and sell out massive venues for her shows. At times, however, Swift has received reviews indicating a bit of confusion as to her performance persona.
The New Yorker's Jo Sittinfeld shares that the performance at which she was in attendance saw Swift performing as "somewhere between the speeches of a dim high-school student and a tipsy bridesmaid." In short, the journalist merely highlights the whirlwind and differentiated sides to Swift, who seeks to present them in her performances.
The songstress is known for charismatic performances and for her various romances, in addition to the moment that Kanye West interrupted Swift's award-acceptance speech at the VMA's back in 2009.
Yet Swift holds no grudge. The star has even communicated that she, along with a number of other entertainers, are supporters of Mr West's latest ambitious proclamation- that being, his intention to run for president in 2020.
After Swift presented Kanye with his VMA at the award's show last Sunday, the "Stronger" rapper shared his intentions in true Kanye style. People recalls his words.
"I have decided in 2020 to run for president."It's unclear whether Kanye's announcement was merely a means to outdo his earlier award show wild remarks, including those about Swift and more recently about musical artist Beck. However, if Donald Trump has made the presidential journey to the point he has, anything is possible.
After the awards show, Swift was showered with a gift of gorgeous flowers from the rap star, those which look strikingly similar to the ones at Kim and Kanye's wedding, and Taylor was clearly touched by the gift. The singer took to social media to show her appreciation and support, no matter how outlandish, for Kanye's political journey.
"Awww Kanye sent me the coolest flowers!! #KanTay2020 #BFFs."Clearly, Kanye has realized that he was perhaps just a touch out of line 6 years ago when he stormed the stage during Swift's acceptance speech for the purpose of announcing that Taylor was undeserving of the award and that it should instead be given to Beyonce. The hatchet has since been buried and Sunday's exchange, along with the flowers, has done the trick to get Swift on Yeezus' team.
Kanye has not only got Swift as a proud supporter of his future endeavor, but fellow rapper Ice Cube has also indicated he's on board to lend a hand.
