Jessa Duggar Shares Baby Bump Photo, Backtracks On Josh Duggar Criticism

Jessa Duggar’s pregnancy is bumping right along, and the 19 Kids and Counting star isn’t about to let Josh Duggar’s cheating scandal take the focus off of her pregnancy.

It’s been a month since Jessa Duggar shared her last baby bump photo on Instagram, so her fans were long overdue for a #BabySeewald update. According to PEOPLE, Jessa recently took to her Instagram page to let her followers know that she’s currently 31 weeks and 4 days along. As you can see, her belly has really popped, and pregnancy has been very good to her hair.

Perhaps Jessa is trying to shift the focus back to her pregnancy after she caused a media firestorm by weighing in on Josh Duggar’s cheating scandal. Jessa recently made headlines by posting a judgmental blog post about Josh on her Instagram page. It was written by her father-in-law, Michael Seewald, and, as the Inquisitr previously reported, Ben Seewald’s dad had some pretty harsh words for Josh — he was mad as hell that Josh made his fellow Christians look bad by cheating on his wife and admitting to looking at pornography. Michael Seewald called Jessa’s older brother a “fraud” and “pretender” who deceived his fellow Christians by living “a covert and extensive lifestyle of evil” while claiming to be a Christian.

Jessa Duggar must have agreed with Michael Seewald’s blog post, because she shared it on her Instagram page shortly after it was published. However, Perez Hilton reports that it has now been taken down.

“Could it be that Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar felt the jab was inappropriate?” Hilton wrote.

This is certainly one possibility, but there’s also a chance that Jessa simply wants to distance herself from her older brother so that she can create her own scandal-free brand. According to PEOPLE, Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald have booked speaking gigs at Southern Women’s Shows across the country, and some attendees have protested Jessa’s presence at the events because of her family’s scandals. Maybe Jessa has realized that it’s not the best idea to remind people that she’s related to Josh.

During the Southern Women’s Show in Charlotte, North Carolina, Ben Seewald revealed that he and his wife would be open to filming their own reality show, and they’ve come up with the perfect way to expand their family faster so that the Seewalds will be more entertaining. ETonline reports that Jessa and Ben want to adopt a child, and they revealed that they’re going to start taking classes on adoption next year.

According to Us Weekly, Jessa joked that she wants to one-up her mother by having 20 kids, and she could reach that number a lot quicker by adopting a few of her children. Her first biological child is set to arrive on November 1, which just happens to be Ben and Jessa’s wedding anniversary.
