WWE News: John Laurinaitis Engaged To Bella Twins’ Mother — Fans Suspect Nepotism?
The former Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and General Manager of Monday Night RAW, John Laurinaitis, is engaged to the mother of WWE Divas The Bella Twins.
The mother of Nikki and Brie Bella, Kathy Colace announced the engagement via Instagram in a picture featuring herself, Laurinaitis, Nikki Bella, and John Cena.
With this latest development, a myriad speculation has emerged regarding Nikki Bella and her soon-to-be record-breaking reign as WWE Divas champion. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Cena reportedly went to WWE management to squash plans of Bella dropping her title to NXT standout Charlotte.
Bella did seem to downplay those rumors in a recent tweet, suggesting that all the reports were false.
When you are succeeding, everyone will talk about you and your success. Good or Bad. Don’t believe everything you read. N

Now, with Bella’s mother marrying a top WWE executive in Laurinaitis, several fans are wondering whether a case of nepotism is potentially permitting Bella to maintain her prominent role on television.

With Nikki Bella’s sister Brie married to Daniel Bryan, and Laurinaitis being the brother of WWE legend “Road Warrior” Animal, this marriage would make Laurinaitis the father-in-law of Bryan.

Laurinaitis, 53, has not been seen on WWE television since inducting The Bushwhakers into the WWE Hall of Fame earlier this year. Prior to that, he was an on-screen authority figure from 2011-2012. With his deep voice and propensity to ignore the fans, Laurinaitis was one of the more despised authority figures in recent memory.
While on television, Laurinaitis was immersed in feuds with CM Punk, John Cena, Triple H, and more. He works as a producer within WWE at this time.
Before his relatively brief WWE on-screen role and behind-the-scenes work, Laurinaitis wrestled from 1985-2000 as Johnny Ace. Never matching his brother in terms of popularity and success, Laurinaitis did enjoy success in Japan in the 1990s.
Therefore, while Laurinaitis no longer holds the position of Executive Vice President of Talent Relations, he remains a key presence within the WWE. He’s also been an employee of the company for nearly 15 years, so he does have seniority.
That is likely the reason as to why fans are suspecting nepotism in the case of Bella’s soon-to-be record-breaking reign.
