According to the Multi-State Lottery Association, the last drawing on August 29 did not produce a jackpot winner (18, 21, 25, 28, 29 PB 16). However, there were more than $10 million in non-jackpot prizes given away including $1 million each to four lucky winners in California, Florida, Georgia, and Texas.

If you win tonight’s $120 million Powerball jackpot, you will have to choose between a one-time lump-sum payment or a 30-year annuity. According to US Mega, jackpot winners who choose the annuity option will receive approximately $4 million per year for 30 years. If you want all of your winnings at once, the lump-sum payment is based on the cash value of the jackpot that is currently $76.6 million.

The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot is about to change. Right now, the odds are 1 in 179 million that you will win the jackpot. According to USA Today, the odds will increase to 1 in 285.9 million starting in October, making it even hard to score a big windfall.

On October 7, there will be more numbers (white balls) to choose from. Under the current rules, players can choose any five numbers between 1 and 59 when choosing the white ball and a number between 1 and 35 for the red Powerball.

When the change takes place, players will be able to choose a number from 1 to 69 (white balls) but numbers to pick from for the Powerball (red ball) will decrease from 35 to 26.
