Chloe Grace Moretz Under Attack In ‘5th Wave’: 3 Other Times She Saved The Day

Chloe Grace Moretz has made quite the impact on Hollywood in her 18 years. After breaking into the big time with her turn as Hit-Girl in the Kick-Ass movies, she has become the new “it” girl for many filmmakers.

Her latest film dropped a new trailer on Wednesday, and once again, it looks like she will be taking center stage as a butt-kicker extraordinaire.

In The 5th Wave, the world is taken over by aliens, and no one can be trusted. In the middle of all this is Chloe Grace Moretz, who finds herself separated from her little brother and determined to rescue him (with the help of Jurassic World‘s Nick Robinson, of course).

This post could go on about it, but it’s best if you see Moretz in action.

Now, 18 years old may seem awfully young to be saving the day, but this isn’t the first time that Chloe Grace Moretz has fought for justice. Here are three other flicks you may want to check out.

Let Me In: The Swimming Pool Scene

The U.S. remake of Let the Right One In is one of those rare remakes that manages to do justice to the original. In this version, Chloe Grace Moretz plays Abby, a vampire stuck in the body of a little girl, who makes friends with her bullied next door neighbor. As the bullies decide to hold the poor little guy under water — and probably kill him — Abby decides that enough is enough. You don’t want to see what happens next if you’re the squeamish type. This is still one of the best horror movie scenes ever (in both versions).

Kick-Ass 2: Hit-Girl vs. Mother Russia

Hit-Girl faced what was probably her toughest challenge in the hulking Mother Russia from the follow-up to unlikely superhero smash hit Kick-Ass. Now, this one doesn’t go that smoothly at first — and again, it’s NSFW — but eventually Chloe gets the upper hand, and it’s all downhill for Mother Russia from there.

Kick-Ass: Hallway Shootout

One of the great joys of the original Kick-Ass is watching the horror of parents and film critics as they witnessed a 13-year-old kid kill and maim and shoot it out with the bad guys. Of course, if you can separate fact from fiction, it’s not that bad. You may even enjoy how much butt Moretz kicks here, especially in the hallway shootout. Enjoy!
