Jimmy Snuka Killed Girlfriend In 1983? Victim’s Sisters Say Murder Charges ‘Better Late Than Never’

Did Jimmy Snuka kill his girlfriend in 1983? According to the courts, he did. Even the sisters of victim Nancy Argentino say the murder charges were a long time coming.

Allegedly, back in the days when the corporation was known as the World Wrestling Federation, the “superfly” wrestler was also super-violent with his girlfriend. Fiji-born Snuka had allegedly dragged Argentino by her hair in an upstate New York hotel. According to the New York Daily News, this was mere months before she was found dead with multiple injuries all over her body. It allegedly took sheriff’s deputies and two dogs to get the wrestler under control.

Prosecuters stated that Jimmy had fractured Argentino’s skull and failed to dial 911 for over 12 hours after a day of abuse. When Snuka finally called for help, Argentino had been found gasping for air, with yellow fluid coming from her mouth and nose. Her sister, Lorraine Salome, has come out to explain the situation surrounding Jimmy Snuka.

“The next time the violence happened, it was too late. She was gone and everybody was in shock. My sister was such a great girl. She really didn’t deserve to die.”

Of the former WWF wrestler, Salome says she wants to “let him deal with his demons.”

Snuka, at the time married with four children, had denied doing anything wrong. In his 2012 autobiography Superfly: The Jimmy Snuka Story, he attempted to explain what happened.

“Many terrible things have been written about me hurting Nancy and being responsible for her death, but they are not true. This has been very hard on me and very hard on my family. To this day, I get nasty notes and threats. It hurts. I never hit Nancy or threatened her.”

The problem with this statement, according to Lehigh County authorities, was that his story changed a lot. In the most popular version, she had slipped and fallen in the bathroom while he had been taping a TV shoot, according to Fox News. At the time, he had been traveling with Argentino and was allegedly known for his drinking and drug problem.

Another sister of Argentino claimed that Snuka was just too famous to be guilty at the time.

“It’s about time that he pays for what he’s done. He just kinda waltzed out of it. He was a big star back then.”

It isn’t so easy for celebrities to get away with crimes anymore, especially when O.J. Simpson admitted to murdering Nicole Brown Simpson after being pronounced not guilty.

Jimmy Snuka is now 72-years-old and battling stomach cancer, and thanks to an alleged murder being brought back to light, he will likely die in prison.
