Crystal Renay and Ne-Yo Are Engaged … And Pregnant! [Video]
Ne-Yo took to Twitter this week to confirm Monday, August 31 that his girlfriend, Crystal Renay, is pregnant with the couple’s first child – and they’re engaged! Rumors had been swirling that Renay and Ne-Yo were married, but the “Miss Indepenedent” singer cleared the air over social media, reports Us Weekly.
“Clearing the air..@mscrystalrenay and I are ENGAGED to be married next year. And yes we are expecting. #FromTheHorsesMouth,” Ne-Yo tweeted about his relationship status with Crystal after news sites falsely reported his nuptials.
Renay and her soon-to-be hubby also shared a baby reveal photo on August 30 over Instagram, indicating there’s a bun in the oven as Crystal shyly stares at the camera holding an adorable black and white photo of her fiance holding her baby bump belly. “Surprise!!!!!!!!!!!” Ne-Yo captioned the photo of Renay, reports Us Weekly.

Renay also uploaded her own sweet photo to Instagram, hinting at the news that she and the singer are engaged. In her photo, Crystal is holding Ne-Yo’s head to her heart. Renay captioned the snap, “Rest your soul chocolate, I’m watching over your heart now,” that hints at their new marriage.

Crystal also uploaded her own baby reveal – an Instagram photo of the same gorgeous black and white snap of the singer holding his fiancee’s “miracle” baby bump. Crystal captioned the photo “No matter what they say…our Miracle is on the way and I couldn’t feel more blessed. You’re negativity means nothing to us.” Crystal elaborated, “We are happy, we’ve BEEN happy and will always be HAPPY no matter what they say.” Renay also thanked “The Lord above for those who know my story know what this absolute miracle means to me.”
The news that Crystal is pregnant has met with controversy, as Ne-Yo’s ex-fiancee, Moynetta Shaw, who stars on Atlanta Exes, has been very vocal about having her tubes tied during their relationship, reports Entertainment Tonight. The couple met in 2009 and split in 2013, and they have two children together, daughter Madilyn Grace and son Mason Evan.
The same day he announced over Twitter that Crystal Renay is pregnant, the singer also put to rest rumors that he forced Moynetta to have the procedure. According to Entertainment Tonight, in a series of tweets on August 31, Ne-Yo explained that “I didn’t force Mo to tie her tubes. Mutual decision.” ET revealed that Shaw stated in the past she had the procedure done because the couple didn’t want any more children. People confirms the decision was mutual.
