Destiny Weekly Reset For September 1, Last Before 2.0 Update


Destiny players can mark this is as the final weekly reset before the big changes from The Taken King start taking effect. It begins next week with the release of the 2.0 update, followed by the launch of the expansion itself. Until then, PlayStation and Xbox players can look forward to one last bout with Valus Ta’aurc’ and Taniks with their favorite Year One weaponry.

As always, this rotation of Destiny activities will last through the following Tuesday at approximately 5 a.m. ET / 2 a.m. PT. A new set of activities will launch then.

Destiny - Cerberus Vae III Strike (PlayStation, Xbox)

Nightfall – Cerberus Vae III

Meridian Bay, Mars: Confront Valus Ta’aurc, Fleet Commander of the Cabal Siege Dancers, before he destroys all of Freehold.

Modifiers

  • Epic – Heavily shielded and highly aggressive enemies appear in great numbers.
  • Nightfall – If all players die, your Fireteam is returned to Orbit.
  • Arc Burn – Arc Damage from any source is greatly increased.
  • Brawler – Guardian Melee damage is greatly increased.
  • Solar Burn – Solar Damage from any source is greatly increased.

  • Radiant Light Buff – Increases all XP gains untill the weekly refresh.

Destiny - The Shadow Thief Strike (PlayStation, Xbox)

Heroic Strike — The Shadow Thief

Ocean of Storms, Moon: Board the Fallen Ketch above the Moon and defeat the notorious Taniks, the Scarred.

Modifiers

  • Heroic – Enemies appear in greater numbers and are more aggressive.
  • Angry – Minions of the Darkness won’t flinch, even after massive damage.

Prison of Elders Level 32 — Broken Legion (Guide)

Valus Trau’ug seeks to prove his might by crushing all who challenge him.

1 Cabal None Juggler – No ammo drops for your equipped weapon.
2 Hive Destroy Mines Lightswitch – Minions of the Darkness deal much more melee damage.
3 Fallen Dismantle Mines Catapult – Grenade recharge rate is greatly increased.
4 Hive Mini-Boss Brawler – Guardian Melee damage is greatly increased.
5 Cabal / Valus Trau’ug Boss Fight Juggler – No ammo drops for your equipped weapon.

Prison of Elders Level 35 — Skolas’ Revenge (Guide)

Skolas and his crew challenge the Guardians who captured him. Face him with a Fireteam of three. End him.
