MTV Star Corey Simms Admits He’s Not Perfect After Twitter Rant Against Leah Messer

MTV star Corey Simms may have had some harsh words to say about his ex-wife, Leah Messer, during recent episodes of Teen Mom 2, but that doesn’t mean he feels he’s perfect. On Twitter last week, the MTV star went on a rant against Messer, and a short time later, he responded to the backlash he received because of his many tweets against her.

As the Inquisitr previously mentioned, the MTV star took to Twitter last Friday, following the episode of Teen Mom 2 in which Messer prepared to enter treatment, and explained to fans why he made such serious allegation against Messer on the show.

“Idk why I’m tweeting this because I honestly do not care what people think or what they say about me but anyways. There is a reason for everything that Miranda and myself have said or done. We simply want the girls to grow up in a safe and healthy environment. There is a lot of things that has been told to us by very close members of her family that lead us to believe the things being told are very much true. If we didn’t care about the girls or the situation we would obviously not have anything to say or do about it.”

While the MTV star received some support from fans on August 30, he also received some harsh criticism. In one tweet, a woman named Ashlie told the MTV star he and his wife should have been more compassionate towards Messer, who was clearly trying to improve.

The MTV star and his wife, Miranda, have been concerned in recent years about Messer’s behavior and even suspected she was hiding a drug problem. However, according to Messer, the MTV star has no idea what he’s talking about — despite her comment about feeling she was becoming “dependent” on the medication she was taking for back pain.

The MTV star was married to Messer from October 2010 to mid-2011 when she admitted to having cheated on Simms just hours before their wedding. In the years since, Messer has continued to fight over custody and child support for their twins, 5-year-old Ali and Aleeah, and their case is still not resolved.
