Troubled ‘Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills’ Star Kim Richards Back In Yet Another Rehab? [Rumor]

Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards has certainly been through a rough year. From her arrest at a hotel in Beverly Hills for public intoxication and assault on a police officer, to her dismissal from the reality series and subsequent attempts at rehab, Richards hasn’t been able to catch a break.

However, the reality star is reportedly back in rehab and trying to get her life in order. Hollywood Life reports that after some drastic measures be her family Kim is finally “Committed” to getting the help she needs.

Radar Online reports her family was finally fed up with her antics and requested that she be placed on a 5150 hold. (A 5150 is a involuntary 72-hour confinement for patients who may be a danger to themselves.) “Kim finally realized that she needed help and is truly committed to getting it,” a source told Radar. “She voluntarily checked into an inpatient facility in Orange County. The family has been very supportive of this move.”

Meanwhile, Richards’ former co-stars on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are also starting to speak out in regards to her sensitive situation. With that in mind, Lisa Vanderpump recently talked to Us Weekly and discussed Richards absence from the show and her struggles with substance abuse.

“Well, I’m sorry Kim’s not here because of the situation. That’s the thing. But I think her sobriety is more important than any reality show,” Vanderpump explained. “And I think a lot of people recognize that fact and that’s probably why she’s not in this season.”

Vanderpump added that, while she’s not particularly close with Richards, she does stay apprised of the situation.

“I’m not that close to Kim, obviously I’m closer to Kyle. I’ve heard updates and stuff. But it’s a sad situation,” she explained.

At the same time, Richards herself is aware of the difficulties of her problematic behavior. In an interview prior to one of her stays at a rehab facility, Richards sat down with Entertainment Tonight and talked about how several things attributed to her downward spiral.

“I love sobriety. I’ve always loved sobriety, and relapsing was very hard for me,” Richards revealed in the interview. “It was not easy. I have to say, don’t take this wrong, but I really wanted to go to treatment because I needed a break from what I was going through at home…Monty, my ex-husband, is very sick and my son wasn’t well. And I had to give away my dog, and I wasn’t talking to my sister [Kyle Richards].”

The ladies from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills have already begun filming for Season 6 without Kim Richards.
