Compton, 35, has been a prominent member of the ROH roster since 2013. Before being rushed to the hospital, he was set to take on former multiple-time ROH Tag Team champion Mark Briscoe in a one-on-one match as part of the ROH Reloaded Tour.
There is still little information available as to the specific cause of Compton requiring hospitalization. Obviously, the issue was serious enough that it needed urgent medical attention.
However, for those concerned about Compton’s well-being, ROH tweeted that Compton was doing fine and was back resting at his hotel room.
. @CliffCompton Update – Cliff is back from the hospital, at the hotel resting. We have no further update at this time.

WWE fans may not be familiar with the Cliff Compton name, but they may remember him from his brief WWE stint from 2007-2008. As part of a tag team called Deuce N’ Domino, Compton assumed the role Domino upon the duo making their main roster debut in early 2007.
Not long after being promoted, Deuce N’ Domino ran roughshod through a relatively weak tag team division in WWE at the time. The current Tag Team champions, Paul London and Brian Kendrick, were quickly approaching the one-year mark for their championship reign. But their quest for history was West Side Stomped, as the duo of Deuce N’ Domino defeated London and Kendrick on April 20, 2007, to capture their first and only Tag Team championship in WWE.
They would hold the titles for five months before losing the titles to Matt Hardy and MVP in late August. After their title reign concluded, Deuce N’ Domino floundered on the WWE main roster before breaking up early 2008. With Deuce drafted to RAW and Compton on SmackDown, neither man could find a niche for themselves, serving as enhancement talent.
Compton was released from his WWE contract in 2008 and has been a popular mainstay on the independent circuit. In addition to his work with ROH, Compton has also wrestled for Ohio Valley Wrestling, briefly returned into the WWE system in 2010, and is a member of the new Global Force Wrestling promotion.
Also, Compton is a close friend of former WWE superstar and current UFC fighter CM Punk.
We wish Compton the best as he recovers from his ailment.
