Harry Styles Blamed For One Direction Split And A Whale Of A SeaWorld Problem

Poor Harry Styles is being blamed for causing all sorts of problems. There are reports alleging that he’s behind One Direction’s decision to split, and he might also be the cause of a spike in negative feelings toward SeaWorld.

According to Hollywood Life, a source close to One Direction recently revealed that Harry Styles is itching to leave his beloved boy band because he wants to get his solo career up and running. It was recently revealed that 1D will be taking some time off from touring and recording albums next year, and many Directioners are worried that Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Liam Payne will make like Zayn Malik by deciding to leave the group for good after they get a taste of what it’s like to live life at their own pace.

“[Harry] has been a driving force on the boys splitting,” a One Direction insider reportedly told In Touch Weekly, according to Hollywood Life. “Harry’s career couldn’t be hotter right now… He’s been besieged with movie offers. Waiting any longer could kill the opportunity. Harry knows that leaving on top is the best way to launch the next step of his career.”

Another source told E! News that Harry Styles is definitely interested in becoming an actor, but he’s not feverishly looking for an Oscar-worthy movie role just yet — he’s letting the movie offers come to him, and he’s waiting for a role that really speaks to him to come his way. Instead of pouncing on the first opportunity that seems lucrative, he’s being patient and playing it cool.

“Harry is being offered acting stuff, but he hasn’t accepted anything yet… He is not openly looking for stuff either but is open to offers.”

Perhaps Harry Styles should be a little more proactive when it comes to his movie career — if he wants to keep living the lavish lifestyle that he’s used to after this year, he might need those movie roles to pay the bills. Even though there have been multiple reassurances that One Direction isn’t splitting up for good, the man partly responsible for the creation of the band recently admitted that he’s not positive that the group will stay together. During an interview with Yahoo! Celebrity UK, Simon Cowell revealed that the future of One Direction is uncertain.

“I don’t know if they’re definitely going to split up to be honest with you. I’ve known for a while that they were going to take 2016 off and they had to on their workload.”

“Having a year off is going to be a healthy thing,” Simon said. “I hope they’ll come back together afterwards but there’s not going to be any pressure from me.”

Even if Harry Styles loses his status as a member of the world’s biggest boy band, he’ll probably remain one of the most influential celebrities in the world. According to the Guardian, he recently proved his power by uttering a few words that had a huge impact on a major corporation. Bankers at Credit Suisse revealed that there was a huge wave of negativity directed toward SeaWorld after Harry told Directioners not to go to the aquatic park.

“Does anybody like dolphins?” Styles asked Directioners during a concert last month. “Don’t go to SeaWorld.”

His call for a SeaWorld boycott was likely influenced by the documentary Blackfish and the slew of negative reports about SeaWorld that it inspired.

According to Credit Suisse, Harry’s words probably had something to do with the millions of negative online comments that were posted about SeaWorld last month.

“Brand impairment issues were magnified in July from allegations that a SeaWorld employee acted as an undercover member of activist group Peta, and after One Direction lead singer, Harry Styles, urged all of his fans to boycott SeaWorld during a concert in San Diego,” Credit Suisse analysts said.

Based on these recent reports about Harry Styles, there’s one very obvious career move that he should make — perhaps he should consider starring in a Free Willy remake.
