Kaitlyn Bristowe Out, Nick Viall In On ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 21?
Is Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe being replaced by Nick Viall on Dancing with the Stars Season 21?
After Kaitlyn handed out her final rose last month, she stated during her media tour that she was open to joining DWTS, prompting rumors that she would follow in the footsteps of other Bachelor franchise stars who competed for the Mirror Ball trophy in the past.
However, just weeks before the premiere airs, E! News reports that Kaitlyn will not be joining the Dancing with the Stars cast, with ABC rumored to be choosing Nick Viall as one of the 13 celebrity dancers.
During the 2015 Television Critics Association summer press tour, the DWTS casting director, Deena Katz, told E! that she is “a Nick person” when asked if Nick would be a good fit for the ballroom dance competition. Whether that was a vague way of saying she’s a fan of Nick, and he’s on the cast list, is unknown, but the show’s executive producer, Rob Wade, didn’t deny the possibility.
Wade stated that having both Kaitlyn and Nick on DWTS would be “too much drama” for ABC’s upbeat show. Now that it’s confirmed that Kaitlyn will not be joining the cast, is it possible that Wade was hinting he would be happy to have Nick on the show alone as long as Kaitlyn was not there to stir up controversy?
With five celebrity dancers already revealed by ABC, fans only have a few days to wait until the full cast is revealed on GMA on September 2. Until then, the speculation will continue, with fans wondering if Nick is in L.A. to practice for the Dancing with the Stars premiere or if blogger Reality Steve is right, and he is there to shoot more photos for the Wilhelmina Modeling Agency.

According to ABC, the following celebrities have been confirmed for the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars; 17 year-old Australian wildlife conservationist Bindi Irwin, Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter, Triple Crown winner Victor Espinoza, the real life married couple of Spy Kids actress Alexa Vega and Big Time Rush star Carlos Pena, teen social media star Hayes Grier, and singer Chaka Kahn.
