Bobbi Kristina Brown Update: Nick Gordon Rumored To Be Paid $40K For Gravesite Visit

Nick Gordon, former boyfriend of the late Bobbi Kristina Brown, visited her gravesite last week in New Jersey with media cameras trailing him and photographing his every move. Reports are now surfacing that Gordon was paid to allow the media to cover him while he grieved in front of Bobbi Kristina’s headstone.

Page Six reports that an undisclosed insider close to Gordon indicated that a few media outlets paid him at least $40,000 for photographs and video footage taken of him while he visited Bobbi Kristina’s gravesite in Westfield, New Jersey.

“‘Grieving’ Nick Gordon — who was banned from girlfriend Bobbi Kristina Brown’s funeral by her dad, Bobby Brown, and is facing a wrongful-death suit in her catastrophic passing — was paid $40,000 for photos and video of his so-called ‘secret pilgrimage’ to her grave.”

The source stated that the money, however, will go to his legal defense funds. Gordon is facing a $40 million civil lawsuit, filed by Bobbi Kristina’s conservator, Bedelia Hargrove. He’s accused of not only physically and emotionally abusing Bobbi Kristina, but also stealing more than $11,000 from her bank account while she lay unconscious in a hospital bed.

Reportedly, Gordon doesn’t have the funds to pay his high-profile attorney, Jose Baez, who is well-known for representing Casey Anthony in the 2011 murder trial in which she was accused of killing her toddler daughter, Caylee Anthony.

The insider indicated that the photographs taken of Gordon while he visited Bobbi Kristina’s grave were not random. The entire incident was allegedly planned beforehand. Another insider stated that tabloid magazine National Enquirer was one of the media outlets that paid Gordon.

“Nick is broke. He can’t afford to defend himself. There was a deal for that money to go to his defense fund.”

Entertainment Tonight (ET) licensed the video of Gordon visiting Bobbi Kristina’s gravesite, which appeared online Wednesday. Gordon walked up to Bobbi Kristina’s grave holding several red and pink roses in his hand. He also carried a folder full of pictures, including photos of himself, Bobbi Kristina, and her mother, Whitney Houston. Gordon also visited Houston’s grave. Bobbi Kristina was laid to rest next to her mother at Westfield, New Jersey’s Fairview Cemetery.

Gordon was banned from attending the official August 3 burial service of Bobbi Kristina. This is his way of having his own service for his former girlfriend, an insider states.

The published video depicts a sullen Gordon, sometimes shedding tears, placing his hand over Bobbi Kristina’s headstone and whispering softly to it. Wearing blue jeans and a navy blue shirt, Gordon kneeled down in front of Bobbi Kristina’s headstone as he wiped away tears from his eyes. During his hour visit, Gordon removed the photos from his folder and placed them around the headstone.

Gordon was previously at the Fairview Cemetery in 2012, along with Bobbi Kristina Brown, when they stopped in to visit Whitney Houston’s grave, shortly after the superstar singer’s death.
