Paris Hilton To Make Professional DJ Debut At Pop Music Festival

Paris Hilton will be making her professional DJ debut at the Pop Music Festival in São Paulo, Brazil this June.

According to E! Online, Paris will be playing an hour-long set in front of about 30,000 people. Her set will feature her own mixes and will lead up to concerts from Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Lopez.

Hilton said:

“Electronic music is a huge passion of mine and I’m finally letting the world experience it with me… I have been working in the studio for a long time and ready to take deejaying to the next level. I chose Brazil for my debut because it is the city of music and dancing. I want everyone to fall in love with the beats like I have.”

Paris released her debut album in 2006. The album received mixed reviews but was a moderate success. The single “Stars Are Blind” peaked at number 18 on the Billboard Hot 100. As of 2011, 197,000 copies of the album have been sold.

Hilton may be moving on to a career as a professional DJ, but according to Cover Media, the hotel heiress hasn’t given up on singing yet. Hilton is currently working on her second album.
