Claudia Jordan is reportedly returning to The Real Housewives of Atlanta, after all. Although the former Deal Or No Deal model was accused of having a lackluster storyline during the Bravo reality series’ seventh season, a source recently claimed that despite reports, she has been asked back to the show.
On August 25, OK! Magazine revealed Claudia Jordan “wasn’t released” from her Real Housewives of Atlanta contract. In fact, claimed the source, Claudia Jordan “recently learned that she would be coming back for the new season that has already seen some major cast shakeups!”
While NeNe Leakes will not be returning to the show for Season 8, Kandi Burruss (who is currently pregnant), Kenya Moore, Cynthia Bailey, Porsha Williams, and Phaedra Parks will be back, and they will be joined by Sheree Whitfield and Marlo Hampton, who were spotted filming for the show at an event for Bailey earlier this month.
Claudia Jordan “would be coming back as part of her friend Kenya Moore’s storyline, which will likely involve the launch of Moore’s new haircare line and her controversial relationship with her rumored boyfriend Eugene Casciaro.”
Last month, after rumors claimed she was fired, Claudia Jordan spoke to People Magazine, revealing no one called to tell her any such thing.
“No one called and said, ‘Hey, it’s a wrap.’ It didn’t happen. Now, have I gotten my pick-up letter yet? No, I have not. I’m okay with it being the end of the road if it is, but you never know! It’s not over til the fat lady sings, sand I haven’t heard her sing yet.”
Just yesterday, Claudia Jordan spoke to Rolling Out about the dark side of fame.
“I’ve had death threats on my Instagram, Facebook and Twitter pages because you’re upset about a scene that I did on a reality television show. I’ve had people threaten to kill my cat, or to harm my family members because you’re ‘Team Nene’ and you think we hate each other. We don’t even hate each other … we don’t even have it like that.”
Claudia Jordan first joined the show last year for Season 7 as an official housewife. She may, however, have been demoted ahead of the upcoming eighth season of the show.
Claudia Jordan and the cast of The Real Housewives of Atlanta are expected to return to Bravo later this year, although no official premiere date has yet been set.
